You may ask, “What makes the Edgewood church of Christ different from other churches?” We believe it is our passionate and unapologetic commitment to Jesus and the Bible. We believe that God sent Jesus to die for our sins (John 3:16), and that no one can be saved except through Jesus (John 14:6; Acts 4:12). We love sharing that message because we don’t want anyone to be lost. Each one of us loves being in a relationship with God, and we want others to know that same joy.
We believe that anyone can be saved through faith (John 8:24; Heb. 11:6), repentance (Luke 13:3), and water baptism (Mark 16:16). God thereby washes away our sins (Acts 22:16) and adds us to his church (Acts 2:47)—he does not add us to a church that wears the name of a man or tradition, but one that wears Jesus’ name.
When you visit Edgewood, you will find a very warm group of loving and caring people. When you visit one of our worship services, you are an honored guest in our home and we want you to feel “at home.”
We do not believe that we are better than anyone else. We do believe that God has richly blessed us far beyond what we deserve, and we are very thankful for that. After all, God forgave and forgot our sins through Jesus (Rom. 5:8-9). So it is our unending goal to reflect God’s disarming love and live lives worthy of Jesus.
We want you to be a part of that. Come visit us at the Edgewood church of Christ!
The Edgewood congregation (formerly the Judson congregation) started meeting at our current location on June 24, 1962.
